The state has some truly amazing golf courses, which offer world-class atmosphere and facilities. The Aravalli Golf course was designed by Stephen Kay, a famous Golf course architect.

There are also numerous heritage and wild life sites in Haryana that attracts numerous toursits from and around Haryana. One of the major attraction and a must visit for tourists visting Haryana is the Suraj Kund Crafts Mela, which is organized by Haryana tourism corporation. The Mela displays the grandeure of handicrafts, folk music, dance and pottery of Haryana. 

About Haryana

Situated in northern part of India, Haryana is bordered by the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the north, Rajasthan in the west and south and Uttar Pradesh in the east. Spread over an area of 44,212 sq. km., Haryana itself surrounds Delhi from three sides, forming the northern, western and southern boundaries of the National Capital Region. For administrative purpose, Haryana is divided into four divisions namely – Ambala, Gurgaon, Hisar and Rohtak. Chandigarh, the union territory, is the capital of Haryana state and the cities of Gurgaon, Panipat, Faridabad and Panchkula are industrial hubs of the state.

History of Haryana

Haryana state holds an important position in the Vedic history of India, while witnessing rise and fall of multiple dynasties in India. The famous war of Mahabharata is believed to be fought in the region around Kurukshetra in Haryana. It is believed that Lord Krishna gave his disciple Arjun the teachings of Bhagwad Gita in Kurukshetra in Haryana.
