Humanyu's Tomb - Delhi

Humanyun’s tomb is one of the best and earliest examples of tomb architecture, set on a platform amidst a garden. Designed by a Persian architect named Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, this enormous piece of architecture is said to have inspired Emperor Shajahan to construct Taj Mahal in Agra. Humanyu's Tomb was built by Humayun's wife- Hamida Begum in 1565. The tomb was made of red stone, crowned with the gorgeous marble dome.
